Loading is a modular typeface built from a pixel-based grid system. Inspired by digital loading screens and early screen typography, the letterforms are constructed from repeating square units, giving the typeface a structured, low-resolution feel.
The typeface was designed on a 12-by-9 grid, using one-inch-square modules. By working within a fixed system, each letter, number, and punctuation mark had to balance legibility with the visual language of pixels. The result is geometric, digital, and slightly playful without losing clarity.
The typeface also explores variation through weight, moving from 10 to 100. At 10, the forms feel condensed and lighter; at 50, they settle into a regular structure; and at 100, they become bold and more graphic. This range provides Loading movement and flexibility while maintaining the same modular logic throughout.
